Google docs is a very interesting program. It can certainly help students in projects where collaboration is necessary. Because students can all go to their shared google doc and add information to the same page, it is very good for students wishing to update their project. Google docs really don’t make for too many problems in finding the project. In addition, students don’t have to meet physically to get their projects done.
Despite all these advantages, google docs does have some drawbacks. As I just mentioned groups never having to physically meet being a strength, it can just as easily be viewed as a weakness. Being able to collaborate with one’s peers in a face-to-face encounter is one of infinite value. As stated on ezinearticles.com, perhaps the largest weakness of google docs is the fact that one can only access their documents from the internet. This is obviously difficult for a student that doesn’t have internet access.
